We proudly introduce the RIGO SKYLT extra #5300 topcoat, an innovative solution that protects and enhances the authentic character of wooden surfaces. This advanced topcoat can serve as a final finishing coat and preserves the original appearance of the wood while increasing its durability.
The inventors of SKYLT have achieved a breakthrough with the SKYLT extra #5300 topcoat: maintaining an ultra-matte appearance without gloss stripes, so that the wooden surfaces always look spotless. This top coat is completely invisible and does not affect the natural appearance of the wood, allowing it to retain its unique charm and warmth. In addition, this extra layer of protection is perfectly suitable for surfaces that are used intensively on a daily basis, significantly extending the lifespan of the wood. The SKYLT extra #5300 topcoat is applied as a top coat on 2 layers of SKYLT Original or 1 layer of SKYLT Primer and 1 layer of SKYLT Original. So it remains a 3-layer system!
This product is available in packages of 1 and 4 liters.

Product description Rigo Skylt Extra Topcoat #5300,
Water-based 2-component polyurethane lacquer. SKYLT Extra #5300 Topcoat 2K protects, preserves and enhances the natural appearance of SKYLT Original #5510 and avoids the risk of glossing. To be used as an optional invisible top coat on SKYLT Original #5510. Makes surfaces suitable for very intensive use.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST ALWAYS APPLY THIS LACQUER WITH THE SPECIAL LACQUER ROLLER BELOW. NEVER WORK WITH A CONSTRUCTION MARKET ROLLER, THEN THE LACQUER WILL BUBBLE AND GIVE STRIPES AND STREAKS ETC. THESE LACQUER ROLLERS (25 and 10cm) ARE SPECIALLY DEVELOPED FOR USE WITH THIS TYPE OF NEW TYPE OF PAINTS.

Instructions for use Rigo Skylt Extra Topcoat #5300,
• Sanded bare surface: Choose from the following construction options:
- First layer SKYLT Primer #5020, second layer SKYLT Original #5510, third layer SKYLT Extra #5300 Topcoat 2K.
- First two coats of SKYLT Original #5510, third coat of SKYLT Extra #5300 Topcoat 2K.
- First layer of SKYLT Overcoatable Color Oil 2K #505x, second layer of SKYLT Original #5510, third layer of SKYLT Extra Topcoat 2K.
Please note: Do not apply SKYLT Extra #5300 Topcoat 2K directly over a layer of SKYLT Overcoatable Color Oil 2K #505x. This does not provide sufficient adhesion.
• On existing paint layer:
- 1 layer of SKYLT Extra #5300 Topcoat 2K
- 2 layers are required, first layer SKYLT Original #5510 and second layer SKYLT Extra #5300 Topcoat 2K.
- First clean the surface with STEP Intensive Cleaner #9200 and intermediate sanding with P120.
- Check the adhesion beforehand.
Application, Blending
• Shake A-component vigorously for 30 seconds.
• Add B component and shake vigorously again.
• Pour the lacquer through a sieve into a lacquer container.
Please note: When preparing a partial package, always shake the entire package of the A component vigorously before removing any part.

Apply
• Use the special paint rollers and brushes, etc. below and for the edges or small parts below. Use only stainless steel or plastic tools.
• Distribute evenly in strips or sections over the floor. Avoid differences in layer thickness. Roll overlaps thoroughly wet into wet.
• Important: apply the paint fully; this creates better wetting and better flow.
