Transparent or intensive color stain for all wooden floors and furniture surfaces.
Osmo Oil Stain is resistant to water and dirt, is wear-resistant and provides a surface with grip. Compared to conventional finishes, the natural vegetable oils and waxes ensure an even color and a harmonious, even surface. The required finishing layer is carried out with a colorless Osmo Hardwax-Oil.
Due to the open pore structure, the finish cannot crack, peel or flake. Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water according to DIN 68861-1A - no water stains.
After drying, the finish is safe for humans, animals and plants (saliva and sweat test according to DIN 53160, suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3).

Osmo Oil Stain is ideal as a colored primer for all wooden floors such as solid parts, planks, ship deck floors, OSB and cork floors.
But stairs and furniture can also be treated with Osmo Oil Stain.

To color and protect wooden floors without visible transitions , applying a single coat of the oil stain will give a transparent look that brings out the natural grain of the wood , while an optional second coat can provide a more intense color tone . A clear final coat of Osmo Hardwax -Oil 2K ,3032/3062 other Hardwax Oil is a must to protect pigmented finishes from color wearing . Oil Stain hardener is an optional second component that can be used for finishing and reduces drying and curing to just 4 hours.

1 liter is sufficient for approximately 24-48 m² with one layer. The consumption of the product largely depends on the properties of wood. All information refers to smooth and planed / sanded surfaces. Other surfaces can lead to different consumption.

Apply Osmo Oil Stain,

Transparent color: apply very thinly in the direction of the wood grain to the clean, dry wood with the special paint roller below and/or the Osmo floor brush or the stainless steel spatula and massage in evenly with a white pad. Allow to dry for 12 hours with adequate ventilation.

Intensive colour: If a more intensive color is desired, apply a thin layer with the special lacquer roller below and/or the Osmo floor brush in the direction of the wood grain and smooth out thoroughly.

Tip: Use an unused microfiber roller to remove any traces within 30 minutes of application.
Allow to dry with adequate ventilation. If a more intense color is desired, apply a second very thin layer with the floor brush, paint roller or stainless steel spatula and rub it in with a white pad.

After thorough drying, always apply at least 1 layer of colorless Osmo Hardwax-Oil.
For smaller surfaces, for example on furniture, the Oil Stain can be applied with the cotton cloths that you also see below.
