Cocofloor 10db for Laminate and plank roll of 15m2
Cocofloor® is 4 mm thick and consists of coconut fibers and polyester cotton. A PE foil must first be laid under the Cocofloor®. The coconut layer has a leveling capacity and an impact sound* reducing effect. The Cocofloor® is laid under the Redupanel®. This combination carries the NSG label.
• 4 mm coconut fiber mat
• vapour-tight foil 120 µm
• heat resistance ± 0.066 m2K/W
• reduction of walking noise (* to ***) *
• reduction of impact noise (* to ***) ***
• suitable for underfloor cooling and underfloor heating in combination with laminate | overlap with adhesive strip
• per roll: 15 x 1.05 = 15 m2 (incl. tape)
Cocofloor® is suitable for all click connections, with the exception of the so-called LOC or G5 connection technique with a crosscut weft.
More and more apartments are being built with an integrated floor cooling and underfloor heating system. The principle of this system is that the house can be cooled during a warm period by passing cold water through the pipe system in the screed. In a cold period, the house is heated via the system.
There can be a problem with these systems, namely condensation, which can occur where cold and heat meet. We are thinking of the top side of the finishing floor, which can consist of sand cement or anhydrite. If a closed floor covering is installed, the possible moisture that can collect under a PE film in the top of the finishing floor must be taken into account. When the floor is heated, moisture vapor tension will arise, which is carried upwards to the floor covering through a vapor barrier foil. If we are dealing with a floor covering that will react to this moisture, such as laminate and parquet or subfloor systems that are sensitive to moisture, we will have to take this into account. With floor cooling, the condensation that forms on the top of the finishing floor will be disastrous for many subfloors. Moisture deforms the subfloor or collects in an underlay product, which can cause mold and therefore a bad smell. Cocofloor® offers a solution in these cases. Cocofloor is composed of coconut fibers that are insensitive to moisture and mould. Cocofloor® is also provided with a heavy PE foil. The moment we start heating the floor, a moisture vapor tension arises. If a foil is placed directly on the finishing floor, moisture vapor can be transported through the foil. In these cases, always place the Cocofloor® with the foil facing upwards. Moisture vapor can then find its way in the coconut fiber layer, which is insensitive to mold and moisture, to the swelling space of the floor where it can escape. Cocofloor® also carries the TNO product label and, in combination with 8m click laminate, reduces impact noise by 10 dB - Llin in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 140-8 and 717-2. This refers to a floor covering applied to an attached, i.e. a fixed, screed floor. On floating screeds, one will first have to know the noise reduction in order to determine whether the total structure will be able to generate the 10 dB - Llin. However, Cocofloor® does not deteriorate the value of the floating screed. Unlike many other materials that are used as subfloors.
