Wakol D1640 Parquet Dispersion Glue (content 14kg),
Wakol D 1640 has been specially developed for two types of bonding. Firstly to glue wooden intermediate floors, such as chipboard and industrial mosaic, on absorbent subfloors. Secondly for bonding carpets that are not extremely moisture sensitive. The adhesive is characterized by an excellent stability of the applied adhesive, which guarantees a good adhesive transfer with the subfloor.
Advantages,
- Economical
- Suitable for stable European woods
- Solvent-free
- Consumption per m2: 600-1000 grams
- Packaging: 14 kg
Scope of application,
Dispersion parquet adhesive in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17178 for the impact-resistant installation of e.g
• Mosaic parquet according to DIN EN 13488
• High-edge laminated parquet in accordance with DIN EN 14761, min. 16 mm thick, max. 200 mm long
• thick strips according to DIN EN 13226, wood type oak
• Multi-layer parquet in accordance with DIN EN 13489, up to max. 220 cm in length on new, standard-compliant, highly absorbent cement floors indoors.
• Solvent-free according to the TRGS 610 definition
• according to DIN EN ISO 17178
Subfloors
The substrate as well as the climatic conditions must meet the requirements of the valid standards and data sheets. Subfloors must be absorbent, permanently dry, dimensionally stable, flat, free of cracks, contaminants and substances that could impair the bond.
Additives in cement floors can reduce suction power. Sufficient absorbency of the substrate must be checked before installation.
For parquet installation on mastic asphalt and calcium sulphate screeds as well as on non-absorbent substrates, a leveling compound with a layer thickness of at least 2 mm, e.g. with WAKOL Z 615 Low-Dust Leveling Compound, is required.
Alternatively, Wakol MS or PU parquet adhesives can also be used for direct bonding to mastic asphalt and calcium sulphate-bound floors, taking into account the corresponding technical information.
For the installation of multi-layer parquet elements of more than 70 cm in length, a stricter flatness of max. 2 mm on a 1 meter row is required.
Instructions
Stir the adhesive well before use. Apply evenly to the substrate with the notched trowel, avoiding glue accumulations.
Never apply more adhesive than can be processed within the specified laying time of the parquet.
Insert the parquet immediately and press firmly. Make sure that the surface on the underside of the wood is sufficiently covered with glue.
Pay attention to expansion joints of adjacent components!
