Osmo Country house paint (Paint for wood, Repainting without sanding..)

Opaque silk matt wood finish based on natural oils for outdoor wood. Wood color and grain are covered. The structure of the wood remains visible. Open pore, allows the wood to breathe and reduces expansion and contraction. Water resistant, will not crack, peel or flake. Easy to reapply without sanding, no primer required. Easy to process without overlapping. Does not dry during application. After drying, the finish is safe for humans, animals and plants (saliva and sweat test in accordance with DIN 53160, suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3).

Usage;
Osmo country house paint is extremely suitable for outdoor wood, where a particularly durable finish is required. Such as wooden fences, balconies, windows, posts, pergolas, garden furniture, garden houses and carports. Ideal for renewing old open-pore top layers and weathered top layers.

Ingredients;
Based on natural vegetable oils (sunflower oil, soybean oil, thistle oil), paraffin, iron oxide and organic pigments, titanium oxide (white pigment), siccatives (drying agents) and water-repellent additives. Dearomatized turpentine (benzene free). Eu limit value for this product (cat A/e) 400 g/l (2010). This product contains max 400 g/l VOC.

Storage:
5 years and longer if stored in closed original packaging. If thickened by frost, store at room temperature for 24 hours before use.

Preparation;
The wooden surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (max. 20% moisture content). Osmo country house paint is ready to use, do not dilute. Stir well. If possible apply a layer on all sides of the wood before mounting. Thoroughly clean old open-pore finishes. Old color and paint layers must be completely removed. Always use a dust mask when sanding. When additional preventive protection against blue mold, rot and insect infestation is desired, finish the wood (preferably all customers) with Osmo WR wood impregnate.

The finished surface has, among other things due to the influence of the natural characteristic and the method of application, different properties, so a test must first be done in an inconspicuous place.

apply;
Apply evenly and thinly with an Osmo brush or roller in the direction of the wood grain on the clean and dry wood.
Allow to dry for 10-12 hours with good ventilation.
After drying, apply a second thin layer.
When renovating, one application on the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

Cleaning the tools:
With Osmo Brush cleaner (free from aromatic compounds.)

drying time:
Approx. 12 hours (normal climatic conditions. 23 ̊C/ 50% relative humidity) Ventilate well during drying. Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can increase drying time.

Note;
If the outdoor surface needs additional protection (e.g. windows and facades), after thorough drying, treat 1x with osmo UV protection oil colorless. This protects against dirt and increases the durability of the finish. With country house paint 2101 white it is better to use Osmo natural oil stain. The country house paint, proven by dozens, is available in your favorite colour. Available from 1x 2.5 liters in 186 RAL colors Classic and 1950 NCS color shades and with extra biocide protection on request. Some woods contain water-soluble colored extracts that can leach naturally during weathering.

NB;
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. When seeking medical advice, have the container or label at hand. Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. NB! Dangerous catchable droplets can be formed when atomized. Do not breathe spray mist. NB! Wash cloths soaked with the liquid product immediately after use or store airtight in a metal container (danger of spontaneous combustion).
The dried finish complies with DIN 4102 class B2 (normally flammable).
