dr. Schutz 2K Protect PU 30 Extra Matt 5.5 Ltr,
dr. Schutz 2K PU 30 extra matt is a 2-component PU coating with an extremely matt appearance for long-term protection of elastic floors, parquet and cork floors and mineral concrete look floors.
- Very strong coating
- Reduces dirt adhesion
- Simplifies maintenance
Application Dr. Schutz 2K PU 30 extra matt
Floors made of PVC, CV and linoleum with a smooth, slightly textured or grained surface as well as ex-works PU floors, if coordinated with the floor manufacturer and therefore recommended. Suitable for wooden and parquet floors, as well as for cork floors with a minimum raw cork density of 500 kg/m³. Also suitable for sealing mineral concrete-look floors tested and approved by us or for repairing old
rubber floors (please contact us for technical advice). Not suitable for conductive floors. Determine the applicability for safety floors, highly structured surfaces and studded floors in advance per object. Follow the maintenance advice of the relevant floor.
User manual Dr. Schutz 2K PU 30 extra matt
The floor must be dry and clean, free of dust, grease, oil, detergent and maintenance product residues. Shake the coating and hardener packaging well. Add hardener to the coating and mix both components immediately by shaking thoroughly. When mixing subpackages, always mix coating and hardener in a ratio of 4:1, adding the hardener to the coating. Room, floor and processing temperature 18-25°C. Relative humidity: 40-65%.
Allow the coating and hardener mixture to stand for 10 minutes. Then evenly roll out on the floor with our large paint roller (if the substrate is strongly absorbent, remove it from our paint tray or Lakemmer). Start according to the incidence of light (usually on the window side) and work away from the light in order to be able to assess the surface during processing and to correct any errors immediately. Spread the coating with the roller in max. 1 meter wide strips transverse to the incidence of light (ie parallel to the window) and then roll out evenly in the direction of the incidence of light. Always work wet in wet, but avoid puddles.
After sufficient drying time (approx. 2 hours, but within 12 hours) apply the coating mixture for the second time. If it dries for more than 12 hours (between the first and second layer), the floor must be ground with the PU Remediation Pad in between. When treating wooden floors, the floor must always be ground between the 2 layers with a single-disc machine and a grinding net grit 100-120, in order to eliminate standing wood fibers and to make the surface smooth. Remove grinding dust thoroughly. After the second coat has dried (at least 12 hours), the floor can be carefully walked on. The final resistance of the coating is reached after approx. 7 days at room temperature.
